End of...

Today marks the end of my In-Camp-Training...

I am now a certified Recon 3 Coxswain... I can command a small vessel now with seamen under me.. wahaha..

I wonder how I survived it... Damn.. I am really developing a phobia of sailing into the sea..

Well, that's the end for this year I guess...

Now.. For update on my 2nd interview..

It went smoothly.. I was interviewed by two foreigner ladies.. Don't know why, but I feel very comfortable with them in comparison to local interviewers.. I guess they were professional and able to conduct interviews very well...

Well, the second interview was more on behavioural assessment.. Like how I handle and deal with different situations by relating a real life working, studying or sporting story..

Then was an assessment on customer service and they also require real life story.. In this aspect, I ended with, "Well, I think that some customers raise their voices or complains over the phone just to vent their frustration.. I will just listen and ultimately, what customers want is someone who can solve their problems and they will be happy at the end.. " I think I said something like that.. Hahaha..

Oh yar.. The other questions asked were on my strengths, weaknesses and character.. And one question was on whether I've met with unethical issues at work and how did I handle them..

Well, thanks to the interviewers who made me comfortable, I was able to answer the questions with confidence... And besides, I am trained to tell good stories.. Wahaha...

I think I did quite well in these two rounds of interview.. I still wonder where I got the self-confidence from.. Haha..

Well, around 30 minutes after the interview ended and I was on my way home, they called me up again to arrange for a final interview on Monday with the Head of the Department..

Hmm... Wish me good luck people.. If everything goes smoothly, I will be able to start work on either this coming Wednesday or the week after next...

2nd Job Interview

Was just called up for a 2nd interview tomorrow at 5 pm... Gosh.. It's a good thing that they make time for me.. Haha..

Well, the company is known as SetClear... It is supposed to be a new thing where backend financial operations can be outsourced to this company and Singapore is where the head office is located...

Hopefully I can perform tomorrow and get the job.. Haha..

Then I'll be working on shift hours during the weekdays and also on some holidays as this is a global business, not local only...

Pray hard for me people... I hope to get a pay of more than $3,000... Haha...

Reservist and Job Searching...

Well, it's been two weeks since I started on my reservist... I am currently on Coxswain course for RPL (Ramp Powered Lighter).. The small ship that carries troops and vehicles across waters...

Well, did get a bit of hands-on... But there's a lot of free time too.. Fell sick yesterday with a slight fever and cough.. I am not one who can stand being slack.. I'll definitely get sick.. Haha..

Two more weeks to go... Sianzzzzz... Next week, it's sailing for 4 days till 8pm everyday.. I really, really, really hate sailing.. Don't know why they put me in the Navy and in the Coswain course.. I guess Heaven is toying with me...

Two more weeks to end of reservist and I am still jobless.. Hopefully this status will not be for long..

This morning, I read in the Recruitment section of the Straits Times and found a opening as a Reconciliations Analyst with SetClear, a new investment banking subsidary of Optimal Australia...

The post requires me to work shifts... But I guess since my resume sucks, I need this job where I have higher opportunity as most Singaporeans would not like to work shifts.. Haha.. Just get ta few years of experience first before jumping..

My Ideal institute is actually either Barclays or Credit Suisse.. Applied already and waiting for response..

Well, back to SetClear.. So I sent in my resume and within 1 hour, they called me up for a brief telephone interview and arranging an assessment for me coming Sat, on the 21st of Jul.. If I am selected, I'll start work on the 1st of August..

Haha.. So now, I need to recover from my sickness first, do facials and face-masks for my pimpled face (due to the endless sailing and the sun during the reservist..)

I guess they gave me a chance because it is an Australian institute and my degree is from University of South Australia with a very high GPA of 6.000 out of 7.000... Haha...

Pray hard for me guys and gals.. Haha...

Raised Status..

I received news from my parents just now that I am going to be promoted...

Promoted to be an uncle because my 2nd elder bro's wife is pregnant.. Wahaha..

Time for me to plot some revenge... I suffered under the hands of my bro for years.. muahahaha...

And now, my parents asking me when's my turn... -__-"

I immediately escaped from the scene... kekeke....

I am going to be an Uncle!~!~! Wahahaha....

Updates

Well, as of now, I have completed my BA degree with the University of South Australia..

Results: 1 High Distinction, 8 Distinctions and 1 C... GPA: 6.000

Having my one month reservist now in the navy...

My skin dropping off now because I was out sailing and didn't cover myself properly.. Think that I will be much darker after my reservist.. Haha..

Looking for a job in the banking and financial sector, preferably foreign banks..
