Reminisce of 2007..

2007... Hmmm... Guess quite a bit of changes for me...

1) Graduated from University of South Australia

Yap.. After one year of studying and relaxation, finally got my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from UniSA..

A year of miracle.. Cause comparing my Uni results and past results, they are worlds apart.. Haha..

I was like normally the last few in class in terms of results. But for my Uni results, I was top of the class and was awarded the "Chancellor's Letters of Commendation" for being the top 5% of the performers in the faculty... Haha..

Business is where I thrive.. Wahaha...

2) Gotten a Coxswain Cert

Convertible to normal cert.. Means can have the license to drive sea crafts lah.. Haha..

But lazy to convert lah..

3) Got a job in an American insurance company

Well, it really totally blew my mind about foreign firms.. Didn't know that it was so bad... *Faintz*

And I thought the previous bank job was bad... Haha..

*Break*

Hmm.. Then I think nothing major happen to me this year liaoz..

What I wish for next year? Wait till a few more hours then i write ba.. Wahaha...

Misc...

Christmas... Another holiday.. Which means a break from work.. Haha..

Sadly, no one to spend it with... *Haiz*.. The feeling of loneliness setting in again..

Well, stayed home over the weekend and these two days looking at my PC..

What I did:

1) Instailled a Aero skin (black) for my Firefox browser..

Looks more cool now.. Haha..

2) Watched Jay Chou's Secret..

Yar.. Watched it at home after so many months after its release.. Not a bad movie.. Should say it's more to fantasy love story.. Maybe it appeals to me because I am dreaming of having a relationship again??? Haha..

Anyway, I love the song inside.. “不能说的秘密”, by Jay Chou.. Very nice..

3) Watched some animes

Re-watching Blood+ cause I didn't finish it when it was first released.. Quite nice.. Dunno why I missed it a few years back..

Now, after reading the review on Fate/Stay Night, feel like watching it also..

4) Reviewed a fansub of "Macross Frontier", Episode One

Hmmm.. Newly released anime.. Graphics and Mecha-wise, looks great.. Think that it would be worth my time to continue on watching this anime..

I love Mechas and war animes anyway.. Haha... Oh yar, Gundam 00 is damn boring.. *yawnz*

5) Watched Beowulf

Not as fantastic as I thought it would be.. Lucky never go cinema and waste money to see.. Haha..

Well, that's just about what I did over these two days I guess..

Oh yar.. Windows XP Service Pack 3 works great... Starts up much faster also.. Up till now, after using for a few days, I am quite pleased with it..

By the way, XP SP3 is only in its beta stage I think.. So, maybe one will wanna wait till the full release next year ba..

Currently, the anti-virus I'm using is Grisoft AVG Free Version.. Haha.. Works great also I guess..

Spyware and pop-up wise, using Ad-Watch loh.. Not bad also lah..

Hmm.. Come to think about it, it may be because I'm not using Norton Anti-virus anymore and that's the reason why my lappy performance and speed has increased significantly.. Haha..

Oh well.. I think I am getting to be more and more of a “宅男”.. Haha...

Anyway,

2) Upgraded Office 2003 to service pack 3
3) Upgraded MSN Messenger to a newer version
4) Upgraded other softwares to keep up-to-date

Nothing else I guess.. Getting no life..

Dreaming of the ultimate computing machine..

1) Asus Motherboard (P5E3 Intel X38???)
2) Intel Quad Core Processor (X38???)
3) 2 GB of Corsair Dominator DDR III RAM
4) Seagate SATA Harddisk (Not sure how much space to get yet..)
5) Graphics Card (Asus GeForce 8800 GTS 512Mb???)
6) Coolant Master Casing
7) 22' LCD/Plasma Monitor

The above add up to at least $5,000 and above liaoz.. Faintz..

Ok.. The above configuration is not the ultimate yet.. No sound card or sound system.. I have a friend who uses a MAC machine utilizing Intel Xeon (x2) and Bose (I think) sound system for his gaming purposes.. *faintz*

At least to me, the above configuration is the ultimate machine for me.. Haha.. I am not a gamer some more.. So, basically, to a lot of others, I am wasting my money..

What to do??? No girlfriend to splurge on mah... Wahaha...

But.. I watch a lot of animes on my computer.. Want good graphics, not wrong right???

Don't think will get the ultimate machine unless the prices fall significantly... Haha..

Wait for Vista Service Pack 2 to be released first then decide.. Haha..

Lost Focus..

Don't know what I've been thinking recently..

I think I've failed as a business analyst.. Haha..

With so many opportunities presented due to Technology, why am I still searching for product or service to sell???

Or rather, maybe I just gained enlightenment within these two days.. Haha..

Think it was because I was too focused on trying to leave the company and to find a job in the banking industry..

Am I really suited to the banking industry??? Or is it just out of my wilfulness??

Well, change of plans for me again.. (as always.. wahaha..)

I think I have sought out a route to take within the next two years. Don't know if I will be successful or not...

But I need to acquire new skills and knowledge in terms of technology I guess.. Cos I have a bright idea.. haha..

Think I might need to pay a visit to my relatives in China within the next few years.. Oh yar, and also Bill who is in Vietnam..

Must gather my focus once again.. Or maybe, I'll start next year... Who knows??? Haha..
